The Effect of Ye Nan Gua Gen

Property

Bitter, cool, slightly toxic; liver and large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Clear damp-heat, promote the flow of qi, activate blood, remove toxicity and resolve swelling.

Indications

Dysentery, malaria, jaundice, gonorrhea, uterine bleeding, rheumatic arthritis, leucorrhea, toothache, sores and boils, scrofula, traumatic injury, cough caused by overstrain, laryngitis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 15~30 g. Proper dosage is for external application, decocted for washing.

Cautions

It is contraindicated to pregnant women.
