Property

Astringent, salty, warm; liver and kidney meridians entered.

Actions

Warm the kidney and tonify yang, astringe to stop bleeding.

Indications

Vomiting, poor appetite, loose stool, soreness and pain in lumbar and knees, leucorrhea, frequent urination, enuresis, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, impotence, deficiency-cold in spleen and stomach.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 5~10 g, or made into pill or powder. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for sprinkling.

Cations

It is contraindicated in case of yin deficiency with effulgent fire.
