Property

Bitter, cool.

Actions

Clear heat and cool blood, promote diuresis and remove toxicity.

Indications

Sores and boils, hematochezia, bloody stranguria, chronic hepatitis, bacillary dysentery, typhoid fever, polydypsia, convulsions, tonsillitis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 15~30 g, large dose can be 60 g. Proper dosage is for external application. Pounded into powder for applying.
