The drug is the dried whole herb of Hydrocharis dubia (B1.) Baoker (Family Hydrocharitaceae), growing in solid pools, creeks and irrigated fields, and distributed North China, East China, Middle China, and Shanxi, Sichuan and Yunnan.

Slightly cold, bitter, slightly salt.

Actions

Whole herb is used as emmenagogue, for the treatment of leucorrhea with reddish discharge.

It is made into powder for oral taking. 2~4 g is taken each time.
